After writing several tragedies, he is considered one of the five great playwrights of his time. Although known for his contribution to Geometry, the Elements also include number theory, analysis of the relationship between perfect numbers and Mersenne’s prime numbers, the infinity of prime numbers, Euclid’s factorization slogan (which leads to fundamental theorem of arithmetic in the singularity of factored prime numbers), and Euclid’s algorithm to find the greatest common divisor between two numbers. The Elements of Euclid
